Another Back-to-Back Split for the Bulls – and the Chicago Bliss

And both games went into overtime… Interesting.

First off, the Bulls should not be losing to the Bobcats. Blog-A-Bull and DaBullz both have recaps of the Charlotte game, which I didn’t watch, but just sounds depressing. Derrick Rose has an off night and the Bulls have to rely on Ben Gordon to save them. How is this a team that made the playoffs only 2 years ago (and with minimal roster changes, at that)?

Luckily – and I do mean luckily when Ben Gordon gets a 4-point play to send the game into overtime – the Bulls were able to take out the Clippers. They traded a rookie mistake by Derrick Rose in the Bobcasts game for a rookie mistake by the Clippers’ Eric Gordon to keep it level a .500. That’s the Bulls for you this season, just kind of even steven.

Speaking of even steven, I’m half happy that Nocioni came out of his slump, but also half worried that he was pretty much the Bulls top performer last night. I mean, the Bulls are paying the dude enough that he need to be playing some better ball, but he should never ben outplaying Luol Deng – especially since Deng had 42 minutes against the Clippers. 9 points and 5 rebounds in 42 minutes? Where was his head at?

Now, here’s a Chicago team that’s worth paying attention to: The Bliss. I have a feeling there’s more to come from them.
